Family Link is designed to stabilize family situations so that children can return to their homes.  Family Link focuses on meeting the families where they are in their home environment and supporting them through care management and advocacy.  Family Link becomes involved with families through a referral from Child Protection Services after abuse and/or neglect have been substantiated. The Family Link program surrounds the family with support, education and concrete assistance.  Services are comprehensive and specific to the needs of each family.  Families will receive support and guidance on issues ranging from effective parenting skills, conflict resolution skills, anger management, child development and effective communication skills.  The program will “link” families to both formal and informal support systems, including neighbors, relatives, teachers and therapists. Family Link serves families in Aberdeen, Watertown, Sioux Falls, Rapid City and the Northern Hills.
