Foster Care
The Foster Care program of Volunteers of America, Dakotas provides foster care where youth ages 10-17 can live in a safe, supportive environment. Foster care services provide crisis and short-term placement in the least restrictive environment possible to eligible youth in a family foster house.
For each young person, a professional team composed of foster parents and Volunteers of America, Dakotas staff designs an individualized treatment plan promoting physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth and well being.
Foster homes are licensed by Volunteers of America, Dakotas in accordance with the standards set by the South Dakota Department of Social Services. Volunteers of America, Dakotas is licensed by the State of South Dakota as a Child Placement Agency.
