Kidz Count Kids Learn About Architects

Ryan Welke came to Kidz Count to talk to the students about what architects do, what type of education you need, and how to build a building. Then the kids had several paper cups and lids from totes to see if they could stand on the lid with the cups underneath. It was an experiment in how many cups do you need, where do you place them, and how many layers or "floors" could you build?  They also had some other building materials and let the kids be creative and build whatever structure they wanted to try.  Some boys were building ramps for cars, some tried to see how high they could make the cups, etc. It was a very fun day!
