Berakhah House

400 N Western Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104

VOA Dakotas Berakhah House provides short-term housing and supportive services for Veterans experiencing homelessness. Established through a unique partnership between the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System, VOA Dakotas, and the Catholic Diocese, the program was created to address the growing need for Veteran-focused housing and support services in the Sioux Falls community.

The Berakhah House offers a safe, secure, and respectful environment where Veterans can focus on overcoming barriers to stable housing and independent living. Most Veterans stay for approximately 60 days while working with supportive service providers to identify housing opportunities, pursue employment goals, strengthen financial stability, and build a plan for long-term success. During their stay, residents receive meals, supportive services, and opportunities for personal growth and community connection.

Through Berakhah House, VOA Dakotas’ goal is to help Veterans quickly transition from homelessness to permanent housing by providing the structure, resources, and support needed to move forward with confidence. By helping Veterans achieve housing stability and greater self-sufficiency, Berakhah House honors their service and supports healthy and fulfilling lives.
