Volunteers of America, Dakotas’ Axis180 assists youth, ages 16 through 21, who are experiencing homelessness the opportunity to transition to safe, supportive housing while they learn the skills necessary to succeed on their own. The program assists youth with education completion, employment, financial management, daily living, and interpersonal skills. The outreach team actively engages youth in the community offering support, connections to services, and providing essential items that help meet their basic needs.
Application and interview needed to determine eligibility for housing.
Upon admission, the Axis180 Program offers:
- Safe, affordable housing
- Life skills training
- Interpersonal skill building
- Education completion
- Employment skills
- Case management
- Staff available 24/7
- Parenting education classes and two-bedroom units are available for youth who are parenting
