VOA Dakotas was recently selected as one of 13 behavioral health providers to participate in South Dakota’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) development cohort. This five-year initiative will support participating organizations to strengthen services, enhance quality standards, and work toward potential CCBHC certification.
CCBHCs are designed to expand access to comprehensive behavioral health care by integrating services, improving care coordination, and ensuring individuals can access the support they need regardless of where they enter the behavioral health system. The model emphasizes high-quality, person-centered care and is increasingly recognized as a best practice for strengthening community behavioral health services.
Being chosen to participate in this cohort reflects VOA Dakotas’ commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring individuals and families have access to quality, comprehensive behavioral health care.
