This book provides 15 sessions an adult can use to train youth in skills necessary to effectively help their peers. It uses fun engaging activities as well as discussions to supply students with important skills necessary for building health relationships. Crucial skills taught to students are communication, assertiveness, confidentiality, decision making, and conflict mediation. Training Peer Helpers incorporates the 40 Developmental Assets, which are considered to be the essential building blocks of health development that young people need to succeed.
