Available in two lengths, 35 minutes and 76 minutes, this film shares the true story of Victor DeNoble, a scientist for Philip Morris, whose discovery of an addictive ingredient in tobacco led to a more addictive cigarette. From these beginnings, tobacco companies, scientists, journalists, lawyers, and eventually the FDA and politicians started a change in how tobacco is sold and how its use is perceived by the public. A 60 page comprehensive curriculum is located on the DVD for educational use with journalism, political science, government, and health students.
