This evidence-based curriculum based on Developmental Assets is a social and emotional learning model that utilizes an implementation guide, a classroom curriculum training and ongoing support for students through needs assessment. It is a strength-based educational model originally created to help students manage the transition to high school. The school reform model features two fundamental pillars in the program which are creating positive, intentional relationships and using real-time student data in collaborative problem-solving settings to guide instructional action. Helping students move to graduation with higher achievement scores along with higher engagement in learning and helping to reduce the adverse effects of alcohol and other drugs are goals of the program. Included are a scope and sequence chart, academic standards met in the program and accompanying DVD featuring all training handouts and support material.
