Activity Book, 2021, Hazelden, Adults-Professionals
Grief happens in our lives—we lose loved ones, face transitions or experience traumatic events. It is a natural part of the human experience, but it can be painful, overwhelming and often uniquely personal. This workbook helps in teaching about different types of grief and ways to cope through the grief process. Using evidence-based approaches including acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectal behavior therapy (DBT), this activity book offers targeted exercises to build skills in managing grief. Exercises in this workbook are designed to be flexible: they can either be completed in a sequence or alone in order to focus on that ones that meet personal needs. It includes four sections: Grief & Loss, Experiencing Grief, Grief: Our Thoughts and Beliefs, and Managing Grief.
