Curriculum, 2006, Grade 1
This curriculum is a Model Program developed by MADD in collaboration with Hazelden Publishing. It was created in response to a need for materials to help reach children before they have fully shaped their attitudes and opinions about youth alcohol use. The purpose of the curriculum is to provide information to students and their parents about the importance of protecting the brains of persons under age 21 from exposure to alcohol and ways to help children avoid the risks associated with riding with drivers who are not alcohol-free.
