Curriculum CD, 2010, Hazelden, Grades 6-12

This curriculum is a research-based, CSAP model program that helps young people recognize the difference between healthy, caring, and supportive relationships, versus controlling, manipulative, and abusive dating relationships. Some of the highlights include a dating bingo game, a play on dating abuse that was written by high school students, evaluation tools, parental materials, and a follow-up study and training outline. Safe Dates Curriculum is proven to be effective with both boys and girls and addresses perpetrators of violence and issues of victims. The case studies and activities are effective for teens who haven’t started dating and for those who have an on-going relationship.
